The price of fuel is pushing up transport cost.  Mowbray Park has much to offer day visitors, sheep shearing demo, billy-tea and damper, boomerangs and whips a great lunch or bring your own plus plenty more. All of this just 9km from Picton and 90 min from Sydney City.

Up coming events & what's new!

Come for a walk around our wetlands area and learn about this diverse environment.

'Platty' our bush dance artist has been kicking up a storm, make sure your camp books him.

We have a joint project with Phoenix Rising Books in Glebe: you can buy a tree for $5 from them or us and we plant it, manage it and build a better future for all. The program is called 'we can make a difference'. We have 16 stages around the farm.
If your School would like to get involved then WE will supply the trees free of charge (you just help put them in).

TEACHERS we have copies of the documentary 'With the Best of Intentions'. It is a series of short stories based around the Dr Barnardo's Farm School (thats us!). Mowbray Park was an orphange from 1929 to 1959. We have the book as well as the DVD. It should be part of your library. $35 for both or $20 each, it's good value and valuable history.

We have now planted 3000 trees.
(August 2011)

Mowbray Park's commitment to the environment is well demonstrated by this achievement.   We have a  timber plantation growing and with a bit of help from The Dept of Forrestry (thanks guys) we have some great education information as well.

We now have our aquaponics system running, no fish yet (few weeks) but the vegies are up so make sure you ask for a tour of these new exciting projects.
